Business Round Table Event

On April 23, 2026, the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC) was proud to participate in a high-level India–U.S. Roundtable hosted by the Consulate General of India in Atlanta, in collaboration with the Metro Atlanta Chamber, USIBC – US India Business Council (USIBC), and FICCI (Anant Swarup).

The session opened with a keynote by Consulate General Ramesh babu Lakshmanan, followed by a dynamic roundtable discussion moderated by Ambassador (ret.) Atul Keshap, currently President of USIBC. The dialogue brought together business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address practical challenges and emerging opportunities in cross-border investment, trade, and technology collaboration.

GIACC was represented by President Daniel Preston – CIC, Secretary Donna Smiley, CAM, former Chairman and Board Member SK Raj, and Board Member Nina Chopra, alongside approximately 50 distinguished participants, including representatives from the Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp and leading companies such as Tata Consultancy Services and HCLTech.

A key highlight was the presentation of the Invest India platform by Deputy Consul General Sreejan Shandilya, encouraging greater participation and connectivity within the India–U.S. investment ecosystem.

The discussions reinforced Atlanta’s growing role as a strategic gateway for India–U.S. economic engagement and underscored the importance of continued collaboration among government, industry, and chambers like GIACC.

GIACC remains committed to fostering these connections and creating meaningful opportunities for our members to engage, grow, and lead in this evolving bilateral landscape.
