Fundraiser + Flash Briefing: The COVID-19 Crisis in India

CARE has worked in India for decades. Never have they been confronted with a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic in India.

CARE staff reports, “The shortage of antiviral drugs is deeply concerning given the sheer volume of new cases each day. Never in my life have I constantly heard the sound of ambulances. The panic on the streets is palpable.”

Official statistics report almost 4000 deaths per day, but experts estimate the real toll as at least four times higher.

On Thursday, May 13 at 10:00 am ET the World Affairs Council and Global Atlanta will meet with Manoj Gopalakrishna, the CEO of CARE India, and K. M. Venkat Narayan, M.D., Emory Professor of Medicine & Epidemiology, to learn the latest developments and raise funds to help alleviate the crisis in India.

Open & Complimentary To All.
